Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Nuclear explosions force the residents of a New York apartment block to run from the building. However, the explosions force them into a basement. Eight residents are holed up in the building's bomb shelter. They must acclimatise to each other in difficult, cramped conditions.

Survivors of a nuclear attack are grouped together for days in the basement of their apartment building, where fear and dwindling supplies wear away at their dynamic.

This is my second favorite movie of all-time. Seriously it's that good. I have endless things to say about this, but the main thing I have to say, is watch this if you haven't yet, and you can handle some of the content. It's the best that movies have to offer, and you more than likely won't be let down.

And I just realized that there is already a thread for this, and apparently the search function isn't working properly. Please delete this. -_-

This is one of my favorite movies of all-time. So heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, and I never notice a single flaw.

This is one of my top five favorite films of all time. Seriously, it pushed soo many boundaries without being trashy and it balanced all of its characters well, though Eva was OBVIOUSLY the lead. I felt so bad fora few of them, especially poor Marilyn. But yeah, this is definitely one of the most powerful films I've ever seen and I can't wait to buy it<3.

It left me depressed. One of those films where I need to take a hot shower after watching.

Haha same. My boyfriend and I avoided pretty much all physical contact for the rest of the night after seeing this the first time.

Wow what a brilliant movie. It's like a wayyyy better version of hunger minus the cannibalism. Amazing characters, really hard to choose a favorite. Although I have to say Bobby and Josh were great. They did a great job in character development. I was afraid it was going to be some alien movie (I didn't exactly read the plot before i watched this) thank god it wasn't (im not a fan of those movies) It's pretty shocking what the characters turn out to be over time being there. It didn't leave me being depressed but I agree it's pretty shocking what happens to some of the characters. I did not expect any of that to happen. Probably one of my favorite movies now next to hostel.

I learned it's pretty hopeless to watch a movie with him unless we are in a theater. OR if he's with his friends seeing a comedy movie instead. He won't see would you rather, just made excuses <_<

This movie gave me chills. Not a very "feel-good" film, but mesmerizing all the same. I noticed on IMDb that this was one of those movies that people either loved or hated, with almost no middle ground; I fall into the "love it" camp. I didn't like how the subplot about the little girl and the scientists was just left hanging afterwards, but still, Xavier Gens knows how to make a frightening movie.

Full review here for those interested.

I guess that subplot was just to show what it was like on the outside without getting too silly.
