Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

In the back-woods of America live a very special kind of people. Friendly, decent, hard-working dirt farmers. When they accidentally drink a barrel of nuclear waste they turn into tobacco chewing, flesh eating, cannibal kinfolk from hell. Meanwhile, seven sophisticated city slickers on vacation get lost in the woods and encounter a nightmare world of these illiterate, and extremely insensitive, undead. While the tourists hikers use all their wits and courage to stay alive, more and more "down-home" types imbibe the nasty brew until Redneck Zombies are everywhere. What started as a scenic nature-hike turns into a bloodbath of dismemberment and cannibalism.

If you find the 20th Anniversery DVD, it has the soundtrack included. It was the best five bucks I ever spent.

You might be able to find it at Walmart. I got it along with the soundtrack for $5.

This one has one of the strangest scenes I've ever seen in a horror flick; A guy tied to a chair while footage of baby chicks plays on the TV screen with screaming in the background. We're talking really bizarre here.

Seems like a beautiful slice of cheesy goodness. I'll browse around WalMart, Best Buy, and FYE for it the next time I go to those stores. All else fails, there's always Amazon.

It is. It's cheesy, goofy and over the top--but it's fantastic. I'm making it a point to show Nik this soon.

Try checking Hulu or Youtube for it. I think the Troma site is still selling copies of the 20th Anniversary DVD which includes commentaries, cast interviews and the soundtrack.

I rewatched this with Nik recently and I think he liked it. I'm still unsure about the name of the drunk guy. If anyone has seen this and knows, please tell me. This has bothered me for a really long time that I haven't been able to find anything.
