Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Horror Director Alistair Bailey is fired by VHS distributor William King. He believes that his film has been trashed but soon discovers that King tricked him and is planning to globally sell the movie. Bailey decides to don the same disguise as the one used by the antagonist in his film and make a new feature. Only this time the effects will be real!

I've seen sites like Twisted Anger selling it, but that's about it.

Judging from the clip, it has to be by an indie filmmaker or shot on SOV. But that's just me going by the quality.

From all the titles I've posted on here (and the old site) this is the rarest title to my knowledge that I've ever found. Aside from the one clip in the link I posted and the cover art; I haven't been able to find anything about the movie. Nothing about the actors or crew, aside from the director. Nothing about about what kind of format it was, nothing on the budget or locations--heck, even the date was hard to look for. This is so obscure and weird that I'm surprised I even found it.

I'm pretty interested. Watch it turn out to be a situation like the one in that Molly Ringwald slasher flick.

Damn. I hope Massacre Video or Camp Motion Picture distributes it. I checked A Slash Above and they did list some of the cast. Odd.

Well, I'll be damned. I think I found it!

To quote the uploader (who has more titles up):

Quote:

"Director Michael J. Murphy shot the 8mm film as an attack on film distributors he'd had problems with. But backfired because Bloodstream failed to secure a distribution deal so nobody saw it."

And for those who are a sucker for UK horrors, the cast appears to be British and Murphy was dubbed "the Ted V. Mikels" of Britain at some point by some source.

No problem! Funny enough, it was uploaded on Valentine's Day of this year. How we managed to over look it is surprising! I really want Brad Jones to review this before it fades away, because it would be amazing to see him touch up on what's possibly the rarest movie he's ever touched.
