A gang of ruthless highway killers kidnap a wealthy couple traveling cross country only to shockingly discover that things are not what they seem.

And that's PERFECTLY fine with me as long as all of the other aspects of it aren't dull. (thumbsup) I don't know too much about it but I'm definitely interested now.

I saw the trailer and it looks decent. I might give it a watch.

Which would be a shame, because several kills are revealed in the trailer.

This film is only showing in one theater in the entire state of Missouri. That theater, however, is only about 15 minutes from my office. Going to do my damnedest to get to see this in the cinema sometime before next Friday, when it will likely be pulled.

It's on at an 18 screen theater, and is only shown twice a night in one cinema. They are not making it easy to see.

Saw "No One Lives" tonight at the Regal Mills cinema. Here's a spoiler-free review. Will post a "Spoiler Review" at another time.

1) Only recognized the actor and actress who portray "The Driver" and Emma, Luke Evans and Adelaide Clemens. The unknowns, however, did just fine with what they had to work with. Adelaide delivers a very strange performance in this one.

2) A rather inventive premise gets bogged down in formula as the film progresses. Following "the accident", the action heats up with a bang, then cools off again just as abruptly.

3) Some of the kills are quite creative. Don't want to give anything away, but the killer gives new meaning to the term "curtains".

4) Luke Evans is involved in one of the most disturbing, disgusting and over the top scenes I've ever seen in a horror film. And it's pretty early on in the flick!

5) Ridiculously violent catfight that just comes out of nowhere and almost appears to be "tacked on" for no other reason than somebody said, "Hey, let's do a ridiculously violent catfight".

6) Given the title, the ending is a bit of a surprise.

7) All in all, it was enjoyable, and if you have a chance to catch this in a cinema, I recommend it. It's not way up on my all-time favorites list, but it is an enjoyable popcorn-muncher.

I wish you all could see this at the cinema. I was the only person in a 200-seat theater. Quite the experience.

I really wish this would play near me but there's a 99% chance that it won't. :(

Thanks for the review Kibby! Sounds exactly like something I will enjoy. I'm a fan of some of the director's other work (Versus and The Midnight Meat Train), so I should like it. As John said, as long as the rest of the movie isn't horrible, the kills being the best thing about it is perfectly fine with me. When it comes to some horror movies, that's kind of how it should be anyway. Not expecting this to come to theaters at all here in Australia, so I will probably have to wait for DVD.

Really? While I didn't think the film was anything special, the gore was the icing on the cake for me.

Not that much blood iirc... I mean the wrestler he killed at first was the bloodiest scene, wasn't it?

Finally gave this a watch last night and I was pretty impressed. Lee Tergeson, America Olivo, and Adelaide Clemens gave their best performances that I've seen, the pacing was fast but not TOO fast, the kills were brutal but not over-the-top gory, and the killer was intimidating, attractive, and mean as fuck. Emma and Amber were probably my two favorite characters. Overall I'd give this a 7.5/10 or so. I wouldn't mind buying it at some point, actually.
