^ Which is well above average considering the fact that ALOT of people on IMDB are overly critical and picky (but the same can be said for movie fans in general, I guess).

I can see why people would rate this a 6 or so since it was more style over substance. But it does NOT deserve lower than a 6. Mia's brilliant performances and the cinematography are the reasons why this film is so good.

No doubt in my mind I still think this is a huge example of style over substance but due to the beautiful direction and Mia's performance it's an 8/10. But just movie wise it's a 7.

Yeah an 8/10 is about what I give it. I just love how well shot it is, how good the performances are, and how it never really dragged despite the fact that it wasn't a total blast or anything.

This movie is such a nice love letter to Alfred Hitchcock that I am incapable of seeing any flaws. 10/10

I wasn't a die-hard fan of this, but I commend it for its unrelentingly cool, strange style. It's a very slick movie.

Plus, Nicole Kidman was actually quite terrifying. "Personally speaking, I can't wait to watch life tear you apart."

And Mia Wasikaiaodshfiashfdaisskakakaka is good as always. I love that she does strange films like this, like Maps to the Stars, and horror films like Crimson Peak. She's going to have a great career, that's for damn sure.

I cannot recommend watching this with Shadow of a Doubt enough. This movie makes all of the stuff that is subtext in Shadow of a Doubt text, and they're a really interesting pair.

I guess I really should get Stoker on DVD and watch it, reading what other people have to say about gives me the push I need to watch a certain movie. I've just gotten around to watching Alfred Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt, and I was recently trying to find movies with a similar "Menace in Small Town" premise, and it seems that Stoker is certainly the type of movie I'm looking for. ;)
