http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3228472/fresh-nazi-zombies-in-these-dead-snow-2-pics/

Writer and director Tommy Wirkola is back behind the helm of the Dead Snow franchise after pulling studio duty on Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. We’ve now got the proof that he’s back Norway to direct the action-filled Dead Snow: War of the Dead with some set photos and a synopsis (via Twitch).

The film, “ will be shot in both English and Norwegian. In the sequel the story follows the sole survivor of a Nazi zombie attack who battles an even larger army of Zombies with the help of a professional gang of American zombie killers who call themselves the Zombie Squad.”

Per Wirkola, “I am delighted to step back into the world of Nazi zombies yet again with Dead Snow: War Of The Dead, a world that is very close to my heart. We have a script that I am super excited about, which is bigger, scarier, funnier, more action-filled and gorier than the previous one, and I can’t wait to unleash another horde of undead Nazi zombies onto the world again.“

So the fella survived the original movie?! (wut)
Yes and he now has damn Marvel powers in his hands. In the trailer (can't link on iPod) he punches a zombie but it blows his head apart.

Hope it's as good as the first. Looks just as bloody but a BIT more ridiculous. :P

I didn't love it quite as much as the first, but I still really liked it. Mostly, it just took me longer to warm up to the new characters, except the gay museum worker, who was my favorite of the new additions. Even by the end of the movie, I didn't care for the American characters. I wasn't expecting it to pick up right where the first film left off, so that was a nice surprise. The zombies' mythology in the first film was pretty cool, and I really liked everything they added to it. The Evil Dead influence continued from the first film, with this one being Army of Darkness. I got a few good laughs from this, but there are more dud jokes than the first one had.

It seemed aimed towards an American audience in a way that I didn't really care for. Having so much English in it was good for my laziness, but they weren't nearly as funny as the other characters. I even liked one that didn't talk a lot more than the three Americans. I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't just watched the first film, but I missed the soundtrack. This movie was really lacking fun foreign pop rock.

Know what people will be curious about, I'm going to talk some more about Glenn Kenneth, the gay character, who was one of my favorites. He ends up paired with the girls when they're fighting zombies, but they did kill a ton of zombies. They do a whole coming out joke thing throughout the movie that did not work out at all, but he spends a lot of the movie as the audience surrogate that knows how crazy the whole thing is, which gave him some really good moments. He definitely seems to be the overall fan favorite from what I've seen.

There's also a bunch of cast surprises. Martin Starr has the biggest role, but he's one of the unfunny Americans. Kristoffer Joner and Derek Mears are also in it.

I've been having really bad luck with my gifs and screenshots for this movie, so I've watched it a total of three times. It holds up pretty decently to be watched repeatedly.

There's a really short scene after the credits. I managed to miss it the first time.

It wasn't necessarily something I planned to do. The first time I watched it I took screenshots, but I figured I'd just do a quick rewatch to get clips for gifs. The second time I watched it, I just got interested in it and ended up watching the whole thing while making gifs. I was watching it without the subtitles on, and I guess it was just kind of relaxing.

The third time was a complete accident, because I somehow managed to lose all the screenshots I took the first time I watched it.

10 minutes in and I'm Loving the Evil Dead 2 stuff. I don't care for the fact that they copied Wrong Turn 2's opening with the first death though.

This has to be the most politically incorrect zombie movie I've seen in years and I LOVED it for that! (lol) We get exploding babies (!), old people kills, handicapped people dying, kids dying, and more. Then there's the humor and all of the weird sexual stuff (necrophilia and a zombie getting turned on, anyone?! (shock) ). Unlike the first, which is still really funny, this was totally jawdropping and Robby and I were both cackling like idiots at some of the stuff that was going on. The bodycount is through the roof (I didn't bother counting after the first half hour), it's really fast paced, has some great locations and setpieces (I just wish that big zombie battle had been BLOODIER though; maybe they ran out of fake blood after the first hour which was soaked), and was just...really entertaining. I liked the characters for the most part but a few more of the leads should've died and we should've had even more random characters to tag along with the main group. Small complaint though. Some parts were really silly but I was expecting that and it didn't take away from it so I won't really hold that against this.

6.5/10 quality, 8.5/10 entertainment.

ENORMOUS improvement over 1. This was hilarious. Nazi Zombies vs. Soviet Zombies!? YES!! (Lol) This was the kind of insane I'd expected from the first one. The characters were a lot better too (1's were extremely disposable while I actually liked some of them here), favorite would easily be Daniel (or whoever the leader of that zombie hunting group was?)

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.
