Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

This was, sadly, one of those movies that I couldn't really get into even though I did like parts of it. It was at its best in the first half when Thomas had Angela captive, and probably peaked in the scene where the boss gets killed; it honestly seemed like it was going places after that. Unfortunately, the second half of the film was just way too generic to hold my interest for very long. It felt like any number of generic survival thrillers, and it didn't make much use of either the Christmas setting or the parking garage setting. The problem was that the characters felt half-baked, and in a film about only two people, this really did not need a problem like that. The acting was good, especially from Wes Bentley, but while there are hints of development in the first act, they go nowhere after that. It just felt like a movie where they ran out of ideas at around the halfway point.

^You pretty much hit the nail on the head with that review, Kevin. I agree.
