![]() Eric Binford watches a lot of movies. He is the truest definition of a film geek. One day, his sanity takes a turn for the worse and he begins acting out his favorite scenes from the movies. In doing so, he manages to involve his enemies and the scenes usually result in death. |

It has a slightly larger bodycount than some movies that are widely seen as slashers so...I don't see a problem with it. *Shrug* Besides, the death scenes are all pretty cool and I loved the story. |

So I haven't watched this in a few months. This needs a special edition NOW. I still think the main guy is insanely adorable. |

I know he's a bit crazy and stuff, but I can't get how adorable he is out of my head... I'll write my review tomorrow, though. This was such a cool movie. So many references. Every other line and moment was a reference. It was meta before it was cool.

Oh, I will. I've just been postponing it because I'll feel quite empty once I have no more 80's slashers to see

I know the feeling. A (small) part of me is happy that I still can't find Nightmare Beach/Welcome To Spring Break and the two or three other 80s slashers I still have not seen yet. I will be lost after those, lol. |

This was a pretty epically cool and fun movie. It stands out among every other 80s slasher because of just how damn clever and cheeky it was. Virtually every other line in the film was a reference to another movie. It doesn't JUST reference horror, either, but films throughout all of Hollywood history, the main of which being White Heat. This is a very fun movie. I cannot stress that enough. Even if it's the film first you've ever seen, I guarantee you'll enjoy it. You'll just likely enjoy it more if you get some of the references. Hell, this movie even referenced The Last Picture Show, which is the last film you'd ever expect a slasher to reference. The cast is very colorful, particularly the actor who plays Eric Binford. There's something about Eric that's terrifying, but also very cute and innocent. I have a thing for guys who do dorky movie references in mid-conversation, so I was really enjoying him throughout. Spoiler: click to toggle This is one of the most clever slasher films ever made, and you can tell the director, writer, and actors all knew it, too. You could tell they were having a blast with all of the references, some which are subtle and others blunt. I wish more movies were like this. A lot of films these days try OH SO HARD to be this clever, but they don't quite make it. I look forward to reading the novelization of this insanely entertaining movie. 8/10 Edited by Neurotic Chainsaw, Mar 19 2016, 01:44 AM.

Finally found this on YT while I was making sets, and I'm glad I got to check it out. It's a shame this isn't talked about that much, since it's pretty entertaining for what it's worth, and Eric can be pretty relatable as a shy, socially awkward, nerd. |

Ah, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's one of my favorites of 1980. The book is really good so far too (and it's rather cheap on Ebay and Amazon so you should definitely order a copy if you have a few bucks to spare). |
