Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

I really enjoyed this, it was downright disturbing at times, and I loved the setting and cast.

Same here Andy. I just felt that it was missing something. I think the main guy's sister should have been killed. I don't know. I'm honestly not sure what it was, but it was missing SOMETHING and lacked any kind of major physical/emotional punch.

I think that's what it was, I didn't really feel any attachment to the characters, although the cast was great. I also think that

Oh I totally agree. It should've ended in a Good Vs Bad bloodbath that left several characters dead but instead

I remember seeing this in theaters when I was ten and loving it. The crowd was having a blast. Screaming, laughing, and everyone was having a good time. I love the brutality in the film and the overall mood and setting. Some of the effects are lazy *cough* the cliff death *cough* and it has it's fair share of problems but I find it very enjoyable.

I didn't really care for many of the characters and I was underwhelmed by alot of the harsh sequences, especially the ending and a particularly CGI ridden death involving a fall from a cliff.

That cliff death was horrible but I've gotten over it.

Having never seen Hostel, I couldn't say for sure if it's scarier.

But... what a poster.

I have to say I was kinda disappointed. I thought it was extremely slow placed. It doesn't get at all interesting until 60 minutes into the film. Never had an interest for any of the characters. Sure the women are hot but who cares? I like that surgery scene though. That's about it.

I liked the setting of this film so much that I can pretty easily overlook the parts that I didn't like.

I watched this again recently randomly, because it fell onto my head when I opened up the DVD cabinet.

I completely lost interest once things got violent. Apparently, I was a lot more into the scenery porn than anything else.

Basically this. It's pretty unremarkable.
