Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A bikini-clad pin-up is found dead by the Serpentine in the same place, pose and get-up as when she appeared on the cover of "Wow!" magazine. When the police find the same fate befalling other girls featured on the front page they realise a highly intelligent madman is on the loose

Sounds quite interesting. This has got a guy called Harry H Corbett in here. He played Harold in a UK TV show called Steptoe & Son with an older gent called Wilfred Bramble. That was about 15+ years later.

This sounds interesting if only for the serial/slasher element. Poster art doesn't do much for me though...

Watched this tonight, and liked it. A little too much of the police investigations, and not enough models, but it was worth a watch. Plus, it was only an hour, so it was never boring. Johnny was pretty cute too :P

I didn't care for the rather boring opening credits scene at all; they should've panned over more than just one picture. Maybe show ALL of the pinup models that were dead (or would be dead before the end of this)? That would've been better. The not-trashy but not-quite-classy feel of this was pretty nice. Some of the girls had really annoying voices. "10 o'clock?! I shall be DEAD!" *cuts to dead girl's body*
Morphine overdose, strangulations, sleeping pill overdoses; oh dear! The killer dispatched his victims in some pretty interesting ways but unfortunately almost nothing was onscreen (though we saw several of the bodies afterward). It was pretty neat that he positioned their bodies in the same way that they posed for "Wow!"

"He seemed to have funny hair...it just didn't look real!"

Her death scene was pretty creepy and reminded me of one of the deaths (I forgot her name) in Peeping Tom (which this film felt like a lesser version of). Because of this, I now feel like rewatching Peeping Tom. What else has this killer's actor been in and are any of his other roles like this? I thought he did a pretty solid job. The last few minutes were somewhat intense.

Aside from some jarring cuts and sound issues from time to time accompanied by the pace slowing down for a big chunk of the movie, this was a pretty satisfying movie. It just wasn't all that EXCITING.

5/10 quality, 6/10 entertainment.

I haven't seen this, but it sounds entertaining enough. For some reason, though, the poster makes me giggle a little.

The premise sounds like the sort of thing that really could've benefited from coming out in the exploitation era, not when the Hays Code was still technically in effect.
