Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Oh I thought smaller franchises were fine. And come on, Final Cut is pretty much a stand alone. All new characters, setting, and killer with only Reese returning.

I suppose. ;) That's fine then. I'ma try to list complete standalones. I'd feel weird including even the films that have just one sequel lol.

There is an actual sequel to Urban Legends: Final Cut. Okay, not a direct sequel but there is a third film.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban_Legends:_Bloody_Mary

The Urban Legends Franchise was really a trilogy.

All 3 Urban Legend films were good imo.

i'll have to make a list eventually. But since we're excluding "big franchise" entrees. it will take me a while.

But Urban Legend, Urban Legend Final Cut and Urban Legend Bloody Mary. Oh, the Strangers. So 4 so far.

Make that 6 films.

My list in no particular order.

1) Urban Legend
2) Urban Legends: Final Cut
3) Urban Legends: Bloody Mary
4) The Strangers
5) Cherry Falls
6) Sorority Row (2009)

I don't think Urban Legends: Blood Mary was really a slasher though was it?

More of a supernatural slasher. A really bad one for the most part lol.

I included ISKWYDLS and UL1 because while they are part of a trilogy, the third films of both had nothing to do with the first two for the most part.

I tried to not make myself too crazy deciding the order. I did a top 13, so I had a top 10 even if the series ones didn't count.

2. Sleepaway Camp III
3. Stagefright
4. Slumber Party Massacre
5. House on Sorority Row
6. Black Christmas
7. Pieces
8. Maniac (Remake)
9. Curtains
10. April Fool's Day
11. My Bloody Valentine (Original)
12. Intruder
13. Bloody Birthday
