Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

I'm still excited but not AS excited. I'm looking at it as more of a fun popcorn flick than anything. The trailer was kind of a let down.

As far as 2015's concerned, Crimson Peak. I'm always excited for a new Guillermo del Toro film.

Twelve other horror films?

M. Night Shyamalan's The Visit, in a way

Cooties, but who knows when that'll actually be released. I saw September somewhere, but I'm not holding my breath. Then again, that's for VOD, so, who knows?

The Green Inferno, same deal. But this interests me more than Eli Roth's Knock Knock.

Unfriended

Rob Zombie's 31, yet I think that's going to be a 2016 release

Earlier in the year, before reading bad reviews of it, The Lazarus Effect. I still kind of want to see it though.

Spring

Angelica (with Jena Malone)

The Hallow because Corin Hardy, the director, is slated to direct The Crow remake and I want to see what he can do outside of music videos

The horror documentary, The Nightmare

Digging Up the Marrow

Nina Forever

I guess I'll carry over Cooties and Green Inferno.
3. Horsehead
4. The Nightmare
5. The Stranger
6. Goodnight Mommy
7. Crimson Peak
8. Cub
9. Sinister 2
10. Krampus (The Trick 'r Treat one)
11. XX
12. Rings
13. I'm having a hard time narrowing it down to just one: The Devil's Carnival: Alleluia!, The Editor, The Visit, and L.A. Slasher.

I've just noticed that I mostly listed them in order based on how quickly I'll be able to see them.

4. 47 Meters Down
5. Siren
6. 31
7. Killer: Malevolence III
8. Pick Axe Murders III
9. The Visit
10. Sinister 2
11. Dismembering Christmas

The Editor, Rings, The Devils Carnival: Alleluia, Poltergeist, Insidious Chapter 3 and The Nightmare are 'runners up', I guess.

I'm varying levels of excited for all nineteen.

As of 2018...

The new Halloween, for sure

I'm really excited to see A Quiet Place today

The new Predator movie

Hereditary, but I'm scared people are hyping it up too much. That and the fact it may become this year's mother! among horror fans.

The new Lars Von Trier movie, The House That Jack Built

The new Rob Zombie movie, 3 from Hell (not that that's coming out this year or anything)

Leprechaun Returns (again, not being released until next year)

Anna and the Apocalypse

I wasn't excited for The First Purge until I just finished watching its official trailer. Marisa Tomei is in it too! (goo)

There's supposedly going to be a new Pontypool movie coming out eventually. It's called Pontypool Changes (goo)

Chapter 2 of IT (another one that won't be out this year)

The New Mutants (2019, I know)

I'm quite interested in seeing the Soska Sisters' version of Rabid, whenever that's slated to come out

One of these days I want to watch My Friend Dahmer

If I hadn't already seen them I would have included Annihilation and Unsane. Great horror movies, by the way.

I would say Glass, but I don't know if that will be horror like Split.

I would also say the new Puppet Master movie, but I'm waiting for a trailer before I get too excited.
