Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Which release was the best when it comes to the features?

Note: Disregard how you feel about certain films in the series. Just focus on the features that came with them (yes)

Waiting till I listen to the three TC3D commentaries, then I'll vote (cool) I've seen pretty much all of the other features for all of the movies though. So far, the remake and the original are pretty much tied for me when it comes to the special features.

You guys must not have read through ALL of the poll options.

I went with the two disc edition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) that had a 76 minute making of documentary, three commentaries, a 24 minute documentary about Ed Gein, a 20+ minute documentary about why scenes were deleted (which included the scenes, which can also be watched separately). The music video, trailers, and TV spots are also there, along with photo galleries. Try again guys.

2 disc remake > 2 disc original > Texas Chainsaw 3D > The rest of those.

Gotta love the really cool chainsaw shaped case and metal plate as well. (cool) If only the F13 reboot and NOES remake had gotten the same treatment. It'd be cool if:

TCM '03 got the chainsaw case
TCM: TB got a sledgehammer case
F13 got a machete case
NOES got a knife-glove case.

To be honest, I've only got the original one. It's in a black case with red embossed writing and an embossed chainsaw picture, has a single disc and a booklet.

The two disc edition of the original. What's with all the random 3D love? That release was only good by 2013 standards. By 2000-2004 standards? No.

TCM 2 Gruesome Edition is a pot of gold to me. It's a must have for any fan of that particular film anyway. The deleted scenes are great, the documentary IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY is one of my favorites, and the commentary featuring Tom Savini, Bill Moseley, and Caroline Williams is my most favorite, excluding comedic commentary stuff like MST3K and Rifftrax.

The two disc edition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) for sure. Awesome commentaries, making of features, nicely packaged and it came with a bunch of cool stuff like photos and a tin plate. 3D is close though.

Out of print TCM 4 Lions Gate DVD with the chainsaw lipstick cover. No special features, but since this is the uncut version, I thought I'd mention it. I prefer my TCM 2 Gruesome Edition, but I am glad I was able to find this copy of TCM 4 at my local Canadian wal-mart for super cheap.

I'm lucky I have that edition even though it's not pricy or anything.

That's odd. O_O I have the lipstick cover but it doesn't have the extra scene of Jenny, her stepfather, and so on.
