Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Anything that isn't specific to only ONE film (unless it's a recommendation or something) goes here, including; comparing films to eachother, actors/actresses/writers/directors who were popular in this time, the best films of the decade, the worst films of the decade, and so on.

I'm pretty overjoyed that special editions of a lot of 80s Horrors are being released this decade. They've been wanted by fans for years now.

If only they'd just give the deluxe treatment to Stagefright '87, Happy Birthday To Me, Chopping Mall, Silent Night Deadly Night and quite a few others....

The 80s were just, my god, it was great. That was my childhood. It was a magical time for everything, including horror. All kinds of horror. The good, the bad, the ugly. Lol. Even the bad ones were fun and had great, cool atmosphere that modern day films sorely lack. Most of them, anyways. They just don't make them like they used to.

My top 10:

A Nightmare On Elm Street
Halloween 2
The Fog
My Bloody Valentine
Poltergeist
Friday The 13th 3
Friday The 13th 4: The Final Chapter
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Fright Night
The Thing

There's so many more, so HONORABLE MENTIONS TO: Halloween 4, Child's Play, A Nightmare On Elm Street 4, Friday The 13th 1, 2, 6, 7, Chopping Mall, The Shining, Dressed To Kill, Aliens, The House On Sorority Row, Christine, The Prowler, Killer Party, The Slumber Party Massacre, The Blob, The Return Of The Living Dead, The Evil Dead.
