A mother and her two sons move to a small coast town in California. The town is plagued by bikers and some mysterious deaths. The younger boy makes friends with two other boys who claim to be vampire hunters while the older boy is drawn into the gang of bikers by a beautiful girl. The older boy starts sleeping days and staying out all night while the younger boy starts getting into trouble because of his friends' obsession.

This was awesome. Lots of fun. Definitely one of the better vampire movies I've seen

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.

The CW is attempting to make a TV show based on tbis. It's proposed to be "a seven-season, anthology-style run, the series will tell a story spanning 70 years, each season chronicling a decade. Season 1 will be set in San Francisco during the Summer of Love, 1967. Each season, the humans, the setting, the antagonist and the story all change — only the vampires, our Lost Boys, who like the Peter Pan characters never grow up, remain the same."

Rob Thomas (iZombie and Veronica Mars) is behind it. You'd think with the fall of vampires networks wouldn't do something with then but I absolutely love iZombie and so that's a plus for this.

II was about to say the idea of CW doing this is fucking horrific, but Veronica Mars was amazing (never saw iZombie. Don't care enough to), so that's enough to make me think it deserves a chance

I am so glad I went to a showing of this recently. Big screen. 35mm print. The sound was a little warped at the beginning, but it cleared up. Wonderful soundtrack, regardless. Definitely a must.

I kind of hate it that The Lost Girls sequel didn't take off the ground. Especially if Jami Gertz was meant to return as Star in a bigger role.

I loved the film as a kid but not a huge fan of it now. The visual style and the atmosphere of it is still amazing though. It's definitely original and still a better love story than Twilight 😃.
