He would've ruined the character if he went back in time and erased H1, H2, H20 and Resurrection. Since he did no such thing and went in a new, different, FAR more realistic direction with Laurie, I do not see it as a case of 'ruining' a character. If anything, Resurrection was far more disrespectful to Laurie, Halloween 5 was far more disrespectful to Rachel, and Halloween 6 was far more disrespectful to Jamie than Halloween 2 (2009) was to Laurie. Just my opinion, not trying to argue.

I'm not quite sure why it angers me so, but it really does and I wish I hadn't wasted an hour and a half watching it. I don't really know why I have such a grudge against it, but guess I must have really been looking forward to it when I was a teenager and then when I watched it years and years later it was just so awful.
