Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Saw. That would then eliminate all the BS from the Torture Film genre that nearly ruined horror in the last decade.
Do illiterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup?

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

Hellraiser 4. Hopefully if it was replaced with a better film, the rest of that franchise would've followed suit

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.

This should really be titled, "If You Could Erase One Horror Film from Each Horror Franchise," it seems, from what I've been reading any way (grin)

My pick though? The ABCs of Death

Poltergeist remake and The Final Girls. I wouldn't destroy any of the kinda shitey cult franchise sequels made in the 70s/80s/90s (Halloween, Nightmare On Elmstreet, Puppet Master etc.) cause I still find 'em fun to watch. But there are some really, really terrible new horror movies (especially remakes) that just need to be destroyed.

Candyman: Day of the Dead

As someone who loves Candyman as its favorite horror movie, I would say that the third installment is unnecessary to have. It should've used a better plot.

I can agree with that. It wouldn't be my personal pick to erase since there's worse films out there but yeah, the third Candyman is easily the weakest. Not a terrible film imo but definitely not as good as the first two. The first two are in the 7-9/10 range for me. The third is probably a 5.

It could've been better, since Farewell To The Flesh kinda put out that there could be another sequel to the Candyman series. It served a purpose, but it felt out of place compared to the first two installments.

Mr. Irish, a truly excremental piece of dreck by the utterly talentless Wilbur Scott. I had to review this back in '02 or so for a website I was a staff reviewer at, and I literally thought at first it was a joke being played on me by the admin. Unfortunately, such was not the case. The phrase "words cannot describe how awful it is" cannot describe how awful it is. I've seen my share of bad horror films -- shit, FAR more than my share -- and this one is still the absolute worst. And that's with crap like Hell of the Living Dead and 555 on the table.

I'll be sure to avoid that one then. (suicide) I don't think I've even heard of it.

555 and Hell Of The Living Dead are guilty pleasures of mine. Nothing too great, nothing too entertaining even. They're VERY bad films but they're at least mildly enjoyable. I mostly hate it when I'm watching a bad movie that's not only bad but BORING as well. I'd rather cringe and laugh at a bad movie than feel the need to fall asleep to one.

The Human Centipede did not need to exist for me. Like I really just hate the whole period where it was the only thing anyone could talk about.
