Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they discover a young Serbian girl buried in a small chamber in the wilderness. They become caught up in a terrifying game of cat and mouse with the kidnappers as they try to get the girl to safety.

Picked the blu-ray up at Blockbuster for $4.95, bought it because I am a Melissa George fan.
I didn't expect it to be as bloody as it is, I loved it. The story gets a bit slow until they start getting hunted and picked off one by one. :)

I keep forgetting about this film (which seems like pure gold). Has anyone uploaded it to Youtube yet? Asking because I haven't been able to find the DVD anywhere.

I was interested in this when I heard that Melissa George was in it; I liked her in the Amityville Horror remake and 30 Days of Night. Now I just have to find this movie...

Not on Netflix. Aw, damn it! Maybe iTunes... whoo-hoo! $4.99 to rent!

I like Melissa George as well, mostly because of how good she was in Amity.

Surprised to hear that this is actually bloody. It WAS on Youtube but it had really huge, really distracting yellow Arabic subtitles so I didn't watch it.

Robby and I watched this like four days ago and...woah. O_O I was really surprised by just how intense, surprising, and well thought out the whole thing was. It wasn't as graphic as I wish it had been but it was a hell of a lot more unique and interesting than I expected it to be. I figured it'd be a 'two kidnappers going after the people who rescued the girl' thing or 'backwoods/mountain rednecks attack people who rescue the girl' thing but nope...it was far from BOTH of those things and it was actually made better for that (never thought I'd say a suspected Horror turning out to be a violent crime Thriller would make the film BETTER but here, it did). I was really fond of the characters, though the death order seriously pissed me off. Of course, Melissa did great here but there were times where she was actually outshined by a couple of her fellow castmembers. The other woman in the group's actress did very well and her character was a favorite of mine. Thank GOD she didn't turn into a pathetic screaming mess like soo many 'secondary female' characters do in survival horror/thrillers with small-ish casts (though small as this cast was, the bodycount was surprisingly high). Whoever played the little girl has a pretty decent acting career ahead of her if she delivers as well as she did here. Same goes for the villains, the 'rescuers' and the other men in the main group. Everyone pulled their weight here when it came to the acting and pretty much everything else and don't even get me started on the beautiful cinematography, lovely Vertical Limit 'homage' at the beginning, the locations, and the awesome and sudden location change in the third act which made things all the more...well....awesome lol. I really liked this. 8-8.5/10

This more of an action thriller movie than horror.

Saw this a while ago but forgot to do a review, might give it a re-watch so I can post an accurate review.
