Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

I'm not sure. I haven't seen it. I thought you might have heard of it or had insight.

I've heard of it, just not seen it.

Got a disadvantage - haven't seen it or heard it. But it does seem fascinating.

What Daniel said. I like the idea of the psychotic ex boyfriend though but I'll have to see/read more about it before really becoming interested.

Yeah, that's the Possession Edition. It has the movie, a documentary about the making of the movie, behind the scenes footage, a lot of killer stuff about the making of the SFX and a lot more. I think it's up to 20 hours of bonus material. I'm kind of pissed with myself that I didn't get it when I went to the screening of it back in January (my fault for not bringing more money).

I wasn't sure if I'd like this or not, since I'm very picky about stuff involving possession since the genre has been so beaten to death as of late. But this came out before or just a little after The Exorcism of Emily Rose, so I had some high hopes after seeing more reviews talking about the movie. MrParka said the movie has been be a merge of The Evil Dead and Night of the Demons, which I noticed too. It's a layered cake in a way, being part possession/supernatural and part slasher. I wasn't sure how it would work or if it even would, but I was fairly impressed that it was pulled off the way it was.

It's a pretty damn cool time if you ask me, and was interesting to see Toetag go from the total darkness of August Underground and August Underground's Mordum to this. It was also pretty cool to see Fred talk about the making of the movie and how the set worked, since at the time, I forgot they had a studio going on that they used, so I was here thinking they were doing all these specific shots in what looks like a smaller space. But hey, props to them for fooling me.

Also, when I get everything framed, I'll try to get some shots of one of the posters I got from the screening (signed by Fred and Shelby), unless I posted them elsewhere.
