Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

I'd kill to see the first two in theaters, especially the original.

All of them. :)

Going to see the original was a great experience. I knew from the get go that I had to see this movie. The theater was packed. The last time I've been to a horror movie where the room was packed. I wouldn't be surprised if it was sold out because I couldn't see an empty seat. Anyways, it was a blast. Just sitting there with a huge smile on my face. The entire audience was just reacting and laughing and screaming. It was amazing. I went back a second time and that showing was sold out as well. Once again, the same reaction. I went to the theater a third time (but to see a different movie) and I saw a sign saying the evening showings were sold out as well.

Yeah I was 17 when Scream was released in 1996, have seen all of them and all on opening nights over here.

And if you can believe this my friends wanted to see this, I was begging them to go and see 'Anaconda'

I was too young to have seen the original Scream trilogy when it came out. The first R-rated film of any kind I'd seen in theaters was Blade, and I remember it being a big deal for me (I was eight at the time). Only when Saw came out did I really start seeing R-rated horror movies in theaters with any regularity.

No problem. That was a great time.

Stalk, I was 17 too. Well, a very late 17 as I turned 18 that same month.

I saw 2-4. I always regretted not seeing the first one. I was 11 at the time though. But when I saw it, I loved the shit out of it.
