Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

The residents of a rural mining town discover that an unfortunate chemical spill has caused hundreds of little spiders to mutate overnight to the size of SUVs. It's then up to mining engineer Chris McCormack and Sheriff Sam Parker to mobilize an eclectic group of townspeople, including the Sheriff's young son, Mike, her daughter, Ashley, and paranoid radio announcer Harlan, into battle against the bloodthirsty eight-legged beasts.

It's been too damn long since I saw this. When I was younger, I must've watched this at least five times. I liked how goofy it was, how it didn't take itself seriously. It was like a SyFy original movie or a '50s monster movie, only made by people who know what they're doing. Fun times.

More people need to stop commenting on posters and watch the actual movies, methinks. ;)

Anywho, I thought this was pretty fun. Loved the last act especially. It's been like seven years or more since I've seen it, but chances are that I'll pick up the DVD sometime.

Caught this in theaters back in the day with the parents and it was a fun time. Barely remember anything about it except the "I don't wanna have sex in the backseat" line lol.

I could do with another viewing.

So... what's the verdict? I always heard it was goofy and didn't take itself serious. Any fun? I should probably watch it just because it's a spider flick.

People already said what they think of it. ;) Definitely give it a watch; it's pretty entertaining.

The former part of you post completely defeats what I was trying to do, which was spur conversation. Get it?

I thought you just skipped over all the other replies. Others have done just that (posted in a thread with like eight reviews in it asking 'hey guys is it good?'). :P

Nah, just trying to spur some conversation and maybe get somebody to talk me into watching it. I never had any interest in this movie, even when it came out which is odd... because spiders.
