Blade finds himself alone surrounded by enemies, fighting an up hill battle with the vampire nation and now humans. He joins forces with a group of vampire hunters whom call themselves the Nightstalkers. The vampire nation awakens the king of vampires Dracula from his slumber with intentions of using his primitive blood to become day-walkers. On the other side is Blade and his team manifesting a virus that could wipe out the vampire race once and for all. In the end the two sides will collide and only one will come out victorious, a battle between the ultimate vampire whom never knew defeat, facing off against the greatest vampire slayer.

I think this is the one that has Hunter Hurst Helmsley (Triple H, wrestler) in it. It's a good movie.

This is probably my favorite out of the three. I mean, as I've said repeatedly, and I'm sure you all know, I'm totally into female persuasion, but I cannot deny the beauty of this man. Especially when he's chained to the floor. I really think Parker Posey has too much fun with him that way.

Seriously underrated film. Maybe not quite on the same level as the first two, but it's not as bad as most people make it out to be. Sure Wesley Snipes is clearly letting his stubborn bitterness show, Ryan Reynolds is playing the exact same annoying character he always plays, and Jessical Biel's so bland she might-as-well be invisible, but it's still fun.

I like that the Marvel Dracula was included as the villain. That's kind of neat.

David Goyer gets a bad rep, but I think he did a good job with this, considering all the crap that apparently went on behind-the-scenes.

I didn't like it as much as the first two films. I felt like Blade was continuously held back by writing in those goofy sidekicks and not having a very original enemy for this entry. It's sad when the soundtrack is better than the film.

I thought this movie was okay. It doesn't compare to the first two, but it's not entirely a total waste of money. I get a kick out of Ryan Reynolds in this also.

Those abs! (goo)

I loved the secondary characters, pointless as they ended up being.

My faves were Danica, Abigail, Blade (duh), Hannibal and Sommerfield.

So I think it's my least favorite now. <_>
There was way too much unnecessary humor in this, and not just from the genuinely funny (and seemingly gay (chew) ) Hannibal King but from EVERYONE. One comic relief is enough. We do NOT need every single character making wise cracks. Dracula was hot but not that great of a villain. Still love the characters I mentioned before though!
The look of this film is also weird. Tonally and appearance-wise, it clashes with the first two films and it was especially apparent since I watched them all over the course of ten hours or so.
The deaths were well handled but too many were offscreen. Triple H's character was especially annoying. Asher was pretty hot and a decent enough secondary villain but didn't get much of a spotlight.

Oh well, at least they tried, and this IS entertaining and watchable. It's just a further step down and another step farther away from the Horror genre.

And Hannibal's abs. And tattoo. Fuckin' unf!

There was a lot to really like with this one. The main thing to like here is similar to what worked so well in the previous entry, the fact that the majority of time this one plays up as an action movie so there's a ton of impressive scenes here. The opening warehouse assault is quite impressive and offers an explosive opening dealing with the fleeing vampires and leads into the full-throttle car-chase that ends up starting this very well, the FBI raid on the hideout to capture him or the great fun of the resulting rescue attempt as there's a fine flurry of explosive gun-play and shootouts to go along with the hand-to-hand brawling which gives this one some really enjoyable scenes. The later hunting scenes of the group going out for their individual stalking scenes and getting their information gets some nice action as well, and the utter fun of the foot-chase through the city streets in broad daylight culminating with mad racing through the apartment complexes that causes this to come off as fun. Still, the biggest scene here is the finale which is the incredibly fun and exciting raid on the vampire hideout, which has a ton of action in the actual brawling and beating before the break-in and tactual rescue forcing the long-winded series of brawls, gunfights and weaponry tactics throughout the building as everyone involved gets plenty of time to shine battling against the vampires while setting up the showdown fight at the end. This is a really impressive scene that goes from a high-flying sword-fight to letting them throw each other around with superhuman abilities and finally down to a great hand-to-hand brawl which gives this one such a fine pace here that comes from all this action. Along with this action, there's a rather enjoyable series of story lines here that gives this a really strong feel, from the vampires setting him up with the authorities, the appearance of the hunters coming to rescue him, the plans for the vampire plague and even their version of a harvestable blood bank all come together here to keep this moving along just right. Combined with the violence and gore, these here hold this nicely for the few minor flaws here. The main issue here is the fact that the main villain isn't really all that threatening here as there's really only one true scene here that gives us any real reason to fear him while he trends to spend the majority of the time here giving grandiose speeches about his reign and history through the ages instead, and it really makes it hard to feel fear for the main villain in such a manner. As well, there's also a pretty big flaw here in how much comedy is here, as not only is the introduction of it at this stage of the franchise slightly curious to being with but most troubling about it is the widespread use. The sarcastic quips aren't so bad, but much of the other comments here come off as trying too hard to be funny when it really isn't and really tends to make this too hit-or-miss to be consistently funny. Again, there's some troublesome CGI, but overall this ends the series on a fine note.

My novelization of this came today. (goo) It's in really great condition. It said "Used" when I purchased it but it looks perfect, like it hasn't ever been read or anything. I spent like three bucks on it so I'm pretty happy.

I strongly disliked this movie. The first two are excellent action/horror flicks, but this one was a mess from start to finish. David Goyer was a poor choice for director; he may be the go-to guy when it comes to adapting comics to film as a screenwriter but as a director he's a bad juggler, and the film and characters simply get away from him. Almost everything about the film is questionable -- the pacing, the performances, the story, the dialogue (which was heinous -- was I supposed to laugh when Reynolds called Posey a "thunder cunt?" Because all that did was make me groan, embarrassed for the movie).

I didn't like anyone in this film; Snipes infamously refusing to cooperate with Goyer (to the point where he'd send Goyer post-it notes from his trailer instead of talking to him directly) resulted in sub-standard characterization -- not a good thing for a lead character. Ryan Reynolds I found more annoying than funny, Parker Posey, who I normally like, felt miscast and Dominic Purcell had zero presence as Dracula. Jessica Biel I feel nothing for either way. She wasn't bad, but she wasn't all that memorable, either.

A couple decent action sequences aside, this flick was a thorough disappointment to me. One poor choice after another on Goyer's part, and a cast that often seemed like they'd rather be doing something else.

Hey now, 'cock juggling thundercunt' is an awesome thing to call someone. I've done so in arguments and it was quite effective. (troll) But yeah, I get where you're coming from. To me, the first two are genuinely excellent films while this one is just a really fun, violent little popcorn action/horror flick. It's weird though. All three have been my favorite at some point - but this one is the one that was my favorite a longer time ago than the others.

This one has an awesome soundtrack, though. That soundtrack, though. That soundtrack.

And Parker Posey. :P

I do have some bad memories with this, though. It will kind of always be tarnished for me since I saw it in theaters like right before my childhood cat went missing before Christmas, and now when I think of the movie, I think of that month of my life and how awful it was for 12 year old me.

Still a cool action flick that people hate on a lot and a bit too much, though.

Four years later. My feelings on the film are pretty well the same, though looking back at the BLADE franchise as a whole, including the TV series and animated mini-series, BLADE: TRINITY isn't really any worse than the previous live-action films.

I think one of my issues with the films are the vampires themselves, especially in this and the original. I can't really explain it, but most of them feel like stupid, annoying teenagers. They're just not that interesting.
