We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

The Devil Himself Posts: 75,546 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Apr 4, 2013 Mood None Favorite Horror Films The Devil's Rejects, Dawn Of The Dead (2004), Halloween II (2009), The Hills Have Eyes (2006), The Last House On The Left (1972), The Divide, Red State, Mother's Day, Stage Fright Favorite Horror Subgenre Slashers	What are some of the best meanstreaks/killstreaks you've seen in Horror films? In case you don't know, those things are when a VERY large portion of the cast is killed in the period of 5-10 minutes with very little time between kills. Some favorites of mine: The seven deaths in the last 20 minutes of Dawn Of The Dead '04, ESPECIALLY the last 7 minutes which had the deaths of FIVE characters. Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter - All eight main 'teens', Mrs. Jarvis and Rob are all wiped out in the period of 28 minutes, with most of them dying in the period of 8 minutes. Assault On Precinct 13 (2005) - Not a Horror meanstreak but still worth mentioning. Four characters killed in the period of under four minutes. Yikes! So yeah, what are some of your favorites?

So did the original (1976).

I gotta think about some more. I realized a lot of kill streaks now in modern slashers tend to happen toward the beginning of the film rather than towards the end(My Bloody Valentine '09, Friday '09 ect).

Taryn, Will, Lt Thompson, Nancy then Freddy that literally is in the space of 10-15 mins and the fact they killed off 3 of the characters from the original and 3 of the biggest characters in the franchise in a matter of 5 mins I don't think has ever been done in another film before.

Saw VI - Debbie, four carousel people, and three detectives all dying in the space of sixteen minutes. Woah! The Collection - Club sequence, if that counts.

I'm with Michele on Aftershock's killstreak being preeetty damn awesome (the earthquake until 15 minutes AFTER the ending of that sequence).
