“Kane will return as the reclusive madman Jacob Goodnight, who rises from the dead in the city morgue after his killing spree at the Blackwell hotel and goes after a group of medical students who fight to survive in this sequel to the 2006 slasher hit.”

I probably should watch See No Evil at some point. I don't think I've ever been so excited for a sequel to a movie that I haven't even bothered to see.

I'm excited for this for 3 reasons:

1. Soska sisters
2. Katharine Isabell
3. Danielle Harris

Judging by the trailer she seems kind of annoying lol. I still love her though <3 Just wish this would release sooner.

Well people will love her anyway just because of who she is, not because of who the character is. (lol)

Okay, so since this is pulling a Halloween II, and taking place the same night as the original, it's suppose to be still 2006. Dont think they realized that when they mentioned stuff trending on Twitter lol.

I noticed that too. Someone had pointed out that they didn't say what year it was in the first one. It's been a while since I've seen the first one so I'm not sure if that's true.

COUNTERPHOBIA: The pursuit of situations and instances in direct relation to an individual's fear for the purpose of overcoming this fear, or to find pleasure or excitement in it. Symptoms of counterphobia while subjecting oneself to these fears can include trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, and even panic attacks. You were warned.

WELCOME HOME tells the tale of John Lester, a man who inherits his old family home - and with it a dark secret.

CHUCKLES THE CLOWN delves into Jake's fear of clowns and gives him even more reason to be afraid of them.

NO ONE LIVES FOREVER follows Jacob as he narrowly avoids a fatal accident though finds out there's more to it than he thought.

Face your fears as you read through these stories and more in this menagerie of works that includes a little something for all kinds of horror fans.

I'll always think of the first as taking place in 2006 lol. So this is going to be kind of odd when I do get around to seeing this. (wary)

So, unfortunately, for the most part I was disappointed with this. It wasnt bad, but it was nowhere near as good as the first. Not that the first is a masterpiece or anything, but it was a fun, gory little slasher. This wasnt as gory or brutal, and just....not as fun. I found myself starting to lose interest in the last 30-35 minutes, but thats because they made the mistake of killing off all but two characters before we even hit the hour mark. A few kills were pretty cool, but like I said, nothing as good as the original. The only character who seemed to have much of a personality was Katharine Isabelle, but she was annoying as hell.

I'd say my favorite scene was the ending, where they show all the dead bodies laying around, while music plays. It was actually kind of creepy. I also loved that the survivor was pretty shocking, and not at all common for slasher movies. But over all, this was pretty basic, and not that theres anything wrong with basic by the numbers slashers, but theres other 'basic' slashers that just did it better. It also doesnt help that the Soska's hyped this up as being different, when it really isnt. Oh, and yes they do have a cameo in this as well :P

This is FAR from horrible, but should've and could've been so much better.

The bodycount was okay, around 8 or so. I think the first was higher though, if I remember right.

Ew, I hate when sequels have smaller bodycounts than the films that come before them (with exceptions being stuff like RZH2 and F13: The New Blood). (un)

I tried not to spoil for myself the body count on Wikipedia but I was so excited for this film, I had no choice. Don't think it will take away my overall enjoyment when it comes out next week on DVD so i'll embrace it with open arms since I loved the first one.

I haven't spoiled the bodycount. Just the cast lol. Ew only 7 major characters in the group and some random EMTs? *sigh*

I liked this more than the first one, but I actively disliked the first. It's good enough for a sequel to a film I don't like that was made in a few weeks years later. Even with killing everyone too early, it still felt like it had a faster pace than the first. The subplots weren't anything exciting, but they bored me less. It looks good, and I don't dislike the style like the first one. I enjoyed watching Katherine Isabelle be a big ham so that was entertaining. I'm not enthusiastic, but I'd pick this one if I had to watch one of them again.
