I wonder if they will make a sequel to this. I do wish it was all about the clown as well. If they do make a sequel, I hope the clown is in it more. |

Sucked. The clown was cool but the kids annoyed me, the final girl/babysitter was an annoying bitch, the acting in the shorts was awful and it left me so disappointed. |

I also wish it had more of the clown. The parts with him in it were definitely the best. Just the clown popping out of places was pretty effective. I didn't dislike the framing device. The kids were okay, but I liked the girl better. I definitely wasn't annoyed by the babysitter. The totally clownless segment wasn't bad, either. The actress was decent, and Spoiler: click to toggle

It definitely didn't fit, and the story was pretty weird. I felt kind of bad for not liking it all that much, since the actress seemed to really be trying. I do wish that they had picked a different movie for them to be watching on tv. I kept wondering why they were turning it off to watch a creepy pervert video tape, especially after the kids were sent to bed. |

Watched this a couple nights ago and woah. O_O This is probably the best Halloween related film we've gotten in the last few years. I really like anthologies but they're often hit or miss. Sadly, one segment here was a 'miss' for the most part (only because it clashed with the others) but the other three including the main wraparound story were all pretty great. If I had to rank them it'd be; Highway > Main story/wraparound > Tunnels/Subway station > Alien in the house. None were BAD though, but the one with the alien was a bit...odd, the thing itself looked hokey at times (though I LOVED the snakelike way that it moved, eek), and it didn't really capture the fall/Halloween feel of the others. Still, it was enjoyable because the setting was nice and I liked the main girl in it. The tunnel/subway one started off creepy and it STAYED creepy, only hitting a bump when the girls all started freaking out and crying. Realistic? Yes. But the performances weren't all that great and the first couple attacks had no real payoff. Then in its last five minutes it went nuts. I was surprised that they 'went there' so early on by having Spoiler: click to toggle ![]() The highway was easily my favorite. It was really intense, suspenseful at times, it was the bloodiest and most slasher-y of the bunch, had an adorable lead, some awesome kills (the head sawing and the final outcome really got me), and the killer would scare the hell out of me if I met him during the daytime even. It was also shot well, had a great musical score (then again, all of the segments did), and looked and felt pretty 80s though I'm guessing it took place in the early-mid 1990s or something. The ending was really horrific and a little hard to watch. Spoiler: click to toggle Finally, the wraparound story. The two kids didn't annoy me at all, surprisingly. It was a tad slow but had a few creepy moments and the fact that it was broken up by the three segments made sure it never got boring at all. I LOVED the main girl in this. Not a total prude but not a dumb party girl who got stuck babysitting either. Instead, she was just a...regular girl lol. The phone call got me bigtime. Seriously, WHAT?! The TV scene was anther really freaky, memorable moment. And it was all capped off by the second biggest shock of the movie. Again; I did NOT expect them to go there, haha.Overall, this was pretty great! ![]() 7/10 quality. 8.5/10 entertainment. I just wish the alien segment had been the first one featured so it'd ease into things instead of having it be dropped right in the middle lol. Wouldve made more sense big the first featured anyway. |

I really wasn't expected much when I went into this movie, I wound up loving it. I really like anthologies when they are done right which usually isn't the case anymore. I love Art the Clown (he's my new avatar on Steam). |
COUNTERPHOBIA: The pursuit of situations and instances in direct relation to an individual's fear for the purpose of overcoming this fear, or to find pleasure or excitement in it. Symptoms of counterphobia while subjecting oneself to these fears can include trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, and even panic attacks. You were warned. WELCOME HOME tells the tale of John Lester, a man who inherits his old family home - and with it a dark secret. CHUCKLES THE CLOWN delves into Jake's fear of clowns and gives him even more reason to be afraid of them. NO ONE LIVES FOREVER follows Jacob as he narrowly avoids a fatal accident though finds out there's more to it than he thought. Face your fears as you read through these stories and more in this menagerie of works that includes a little something for all kinds of horror fans. As much as I did think the alien segment was well-done, it didn't really fit with the rest of the film. It was impressively directed. I think I probably would have praised it a lot if it was a short I saw online. |
