Same here. Or if it'd been the first segment or a segment in a different movie lol. Urgh. I have a feeling we're the only site giving this tons of praise. Imdb and other sites despise it lmao. |

I remember Trick r Treat getting a lot of hate when it came out. (I personally loved it, and have Sam tattooed on my arm.) It took years of fans supporting it for a sequel to finally be announced, because it did so poorly at first. I do think the alien segment really hurt it. I enjoyed it, but as others have pointed out it didn't really fit with the rest of the film. I've seen a lot of posts where people didn't even make it to the Highway segment and therefor the end of the wraparound which I think were the strongest parts of the movie. I've also seen people give it hate purely because the family had a VHS machine which I don't understand since they are making a 3rd V/H/S film. There are like dozens of VHS machines in those films. I seem to recall all the segments in V/H/S being fairly modern you mean none of those people were using a digital camera and/or someone went through the trouble to convert digital video to VHS (one of the segments was recorded through someones bionic eye how the hell did that wind up on a VHS tape.) So someone saying that All Hallows' Eve sucks because it had a VHS tape in it and that's not realistic is just stupid to me. I mean I might agree if there wasn't another popular franchise based solely on that medium. Sorry, this post wound up being a lot longer than I thought. |
COUNTERPHOBIA: The pursuit of situations and instances in direct relation to an individual's fear for the purpose of overcoming this fear, or to find pleasure or excitement in it. Symptoms of counterphobia while subjecting oneself to these fears can include trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, and even panic attacks. You were warned. WELCOME HOME tells the tale of John Lester, a man who inherits his old family home - and with it a dark secret. CHUCKLES THE CLOWN delves into Jake's fear of clowns and gives him even more reason to be afraid of them. NO ONE LIVES FOREVER follows Jacob as he narrowly avoids a fatal accident though finds out there's more to it than he thought. Face your fears as you read through these stories and more in this menagerie of works that includes a little something for all kinds of horror fans. Counterphobia Available on Amazon “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown” - H.P. Lovecraft | |

No harm done; I agree with you completely, and yeah...I've actually seen people complain about this for that exact reason. I didn't even bother getting into it with them. Sucks that the only feature on the DVD is a commentary (which I plan on listening to soon) but oh well, it's better than nothing at all. |
