Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Wow, wasn't expecting to see that caliber of cast in a film like this. It's definitely on my list.

If only it wasn't a horror comedy and they dropped the nugget bit- it would be a terrifying premis I think.

Cool poster, probably one of my favorites of the year next to Easter Sunday.

I look forward to more news about this!

Edit: IMDb says the release date is October 10th here in the USA

That whole journey has been amazing. It took us three years to get the movie made. And then the response was so good at Sundance. Off of the pickup from Lion’s Gate, which was always the home we had hoped for, we ended up getting some more money to make a new ending, which we’re really excited about. We only had so much money, and the ending we made, we weren’t always that happy with, so we got to make a new ending and we’re psyched. I’m excited for people to see it, it’s really funny.

I guess that explains where this has been. Lionsgate hasn't confirmed a release date, but they're considering January, which is the earliest it might come out.

I'll see it once but I'm not going out of my way to get it. Horror-comedies for me usually need to be straight horror films with a bunch of gags that are in the tone of the premise or a non-stop onslaught of one-liners or else I'm usually not that interested.
Do illiterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup?

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

I'm actually getting excited for this, haha. I've been seeing tons of stuff about it on Facebook, even from people who don't usually gush over Horror (or even Horror-Comedies). So I'll bet that it's going to be like It Follows, You're Next and The Babadook - loved at first but hated by EVERYONE soonafter.

Elijah Wood has become one of those people that I trust to be involved with good or at least interesting things.
