So Never Sleep Again and Crystal Lake Memories have gotten me really interested in getting some more series retrospective documentaries for various series. Which series do you think should get a 4+ hour documentary?

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Seven hour documentary - one hour per film)
Halloween (sure it got the 25th anniversary documentary but that's not enough)
Final Destination (maybe in ten years or so, if one or more films are made)
Saw (again, wait a few more years before doing it)
Scream (5 hour documentary with at least one hour given to each film)
Child's Play (with the release of Curse Of Chucky, now would've been the PERFECT time for it)

I definitely want one for Halloween. Think of how cool that would be! I would also love one for Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Most definitely Halloween, the 25 year doc is good but for a series that now has 10 films to its name, I don't think 90 mins is anywhere near enough, but by all accounts a new one is in the pipeline.

Because it's focused on the first eight films (neither of the remake series films had been released at that point) and was only 1 hr 24 min. That means that each film got an average of LESS than ten minutes. Shameful when you think about it, but still a nice documentary nonetheless and the features make it worth buying.

Can you post a pic of the set you got? Both F13 boxed sets I own have quite a bit of features. :P

Yeah my F13 boxset over here is the same, rotten, nothing but trailers and some of those are teasers

for me its a really bad boxset, they have re-used the discs from the singular releases and just stuck them in a boxset.

Woah that's weird. I have that same documentary as well. O_O

Mine has audio commentaries for Parts 3, 6, 7, and 8, as well as a 1 hr 45 minute documentary about the series, a 30 minute "Secrets Galore Behind The Gore" featurette, trailers, a 15+ minute Crystal Lake Victims Tell All featurette, a 10+ minute Artifacts And Collectibles featurette, trailers/teasers for the first eight films, deleted scenes from Parts 1, 4, 6, and 7 (including three deleted scenes for part 4 that are NOT on the Deluxe Edition DVDs or the second boxed set).

The Exorcist: There's plenty of interesting behind-the-scenes stuff.

Six hour long Romero's Dead Series documentary, please. (yes)

The Exorcist and Jaws would be nice too even though neither are favorite series of mine.

A Poltergeist one would definitely have a lot of interesting stuff to talk about, even though I'd hope they don't focus on the curse stuff that much.

I was gonna say one solely about Stephen King horror movies, but that would be TOO long. Maybe a documentary about all the Creepshows. Yes, even the third one. Although I never plan on watching it, I'd be interested in knowing what went into making that one too. I guess you could include Tales from the Darkside: The Movie also since a lot of fans consider that to be a true Creepshow follow-up. Or maybe they should just mention it in passing.

It would be fun to watch a documentary about all the Leprechaun movies. Especially if they got Jennifer Aniston back for an interview.

You couldn't do one about Paranormal Activity 'cause (1) it'd be too short, 30 minutes top, and (2) nothing really goes on in those movies to warrant a discussion outside of Katie's story.

Definitely Scream and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Maybe Resident Evil, but I only saw the first one and didn't like it that much. I prefer the actual games. At least the first two.

Perhaps one about Dario Argento's Three Mothers. I know it's only three movies, but still.

This is kind of off topic, but what about a documentary about all the movies that add to the Old Ones/Cthulhu mythos? In the Mouth of Madness being one, I think.

All in all, I have to say the Never Sleep Again documentary is one of the best, most comprehensive horror series doc I've ever seen. I'm sure I'd like the Friday the 13th one, but, man . . . I REALLY love the Elm Street Legacy documentary. Kudos to those who made it.

I think a documentary would be interesting if it focused on Oren Peli. He had one film be a massive and unexpected success that spawned an entire series, and nothing that he's made since then has been able to come close to it. I think there's definitely a story in how a lot of people have imitated Paranormal Activity and been successful, but even the Blair Witch guys have had better luck.

I want an Amityville one, if it's going to focus on how that series ended up having 13 entries. I don't need one if it's just going to touch on the big films. I'm going to need it to explain how that one really successful movie ended up with so many sequels, including a found footage one and one made in the UK.

I'd love to see the Halloween series get a full-blown Elm Street Legacy/Crystal Lake Memories documentary treatment. As others have said, the 25th Anniversary doc was frustratingly trivial and provided only the slightest of insights into each entry in the series.

Same for the Hellraiser series, though I'd probably tune out once they get to parts 5 and on lol
