My answer exactly. The first film could get downright terrifying at times, even when the deadites weren't on screen. The remake was scary too, but it was more about gore than atmosphere. The second film and especially Army of Darkness were more about comedy than scares; I don't even consider Army of Darkness a horror film. |

Me either. And I agree, the first was by far the scariest, even with the demons. If a sequel to the reboot is made I'd hope they would try and recreate the terrifying atmosphere from the first. I like my ED movies scary. Edited by Dead Sorority, Oct 6 2013, 07:26 PM.
