Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Simple. For the month of October, you must watch AT LEAST 31 Horror films. They can be films you've watched before, films you've seen for the first time ever, ect. Keep your list updated in this thread. :)

I'll do this as well, but I'm not going to be here to do a daily update of this. Since this is my first Halloween on the board, I usually take the month off posting in order to get my IMDb review account updated with the reviews of stuff I've watched, and now that I've just started my blog as well there's going to be little time to be here and post so I'll be gone for the entire month in order to get caught up with this and will have it all done when I come back in November. It's the way I've usually done it in the past and will be how I do so this year as well. Just to let you guys know what's going on.

Sounds simple enough. Now if only my job doesn't work me to death.

I'm definitely going to be doing it again this year. (thumbsup) I kind of doubt I'll reach 100 again though.

I've done this every year for the last decade, I probably won't get the chance to watch one everyday, like I had in the past, but I'll try to get 31 in over the month.

I've started putting a list together. There are about 25 new releases coming out in October that I want to see.

No theme for me this year, just gonna try and brush up on a few I've missed the last year or so, and watch some classic I love to revisit (Nosferatu, Suspiria, Halloween etc.). Last year I did a vampire theme month and tackled each of Hammer's vampire films as well as many others.

Thinking about doing a Peter Jackson night: Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, Heavenly Creatures and The Frighteners. Should really find and buy Dead Alive. Also, I'll probably have a night of Romero's original Dead trilogy. That and a grindhouse night. Both Planet Terror and Death Proof, and I have a 3 disc collection of authentic grindhouse films.

This might be tough, and I'm ruining it by watching The Prowler and Cannibal Holocaust tonight, but I may try this.

I'm starting to pair movies up and make a loose schedule, even though I know I'm not going to stick to it. It's still fun to do.

Well, with tomorrow being the first day of the challenge, I'm officially announcing here that I will be gone from the forums to partake of this (ironically, I'm doing this anyway but I'll still claim to be doing this for the forum) where I'm upgrading my IMDb accounts with new films and old rewatches in order to fulfill this. Relax, I might pop in on a slow day to give a minor update but more than likely I'll be back in November and put up my totals from this. This a yearly tradition of mine and I do it every October in order to fulfill my schedule, and since this is the first time being a member of this forum I thought it was time for a head's-up on what's going on. Take care, have a safe holiday and see you in November.

I'll still post on the site, but instead of updating my list in this topic every day I'll just keep a log of it on paper until November and then post all the movies I watched in October.

I'm probably going to post my list multiple times (once a week) like most of us do in the Movies Seen For The First Time In 2015 thread. :P

I've watched three (Dracula Has Risen From The Grave, Rattlers, The Pigman Murders) and I'm on my fourth (Archivo 253) right now. So you were saying? ;)

Also, I missed GL's post earlier. Have a good month GL. :) Looking forward to seeing your list in a little while! You better not forget about us, haha.
