| Welcome to Under The Morgue. We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in? Have you ever thought of writing a script that has 3 or more sequels to it? Since you seem to only write 1 sequel to scripts. |

A big chunk of my characters are directly inspired by people I've come into contact with in real life. I've also thrown bits and pieces of myself into the characters as well, such as certain fears of mine, the way I phrase things, favorite things of mine etc. Every now and then I create characters inspired by OTHER characters but I always avoid ripping characters off. More than once, I've named a character after another Horror character/actor (ex; Pepper and Kat in One Night In October).
I first started writing around the age of six. it wasn't anything major, just a tornado hitting a small town and it was a TERRIBLE story I don't think I even have it, still, which sucks. My first real thing was a touch up job of that story at the age of nine or ten, which actually got published in the Anthology Of Short Stories By Young Americans. For the longest time after that, I dropped writing in favor of stage acting, being a techie, and drawing crappy little comics that never got finished or above a 5/10 on the quality scale. I started focusing on writing bigtime at the age of 16 when I started fulltime work on a few novels; Troublesome Things and its sequel Loathesome Things, and Carroway Lane and its sequel Carroway Lane Part II. Only a couple of those are finished and I plan on revisiting them soon. As for writing my first script, I was about 17 when I started One Night In October. It was completely handwritten, jotted down over the course of the five days that I spent in in-school suspension right before Christmas break. Countdown, a book about a friend of the 1NIO lead came after that, which I wrote in Georgia (and I still need to finish and type up, almost done with the handwritten copy though). I handwrote Nameless shortly after that over the course of a week. In October, 2011 I let people start reading my work. First 1NIO, then Nameless, and by the time all the fake positive reaction from people I won't mention (2011: "That ending was so powerful! I love this script and characters!" 2013: "His scripts are atrocious. Suicide does NOT belong in Horror and his characters are all the same...") I was already getting focused on Hate Crime, a two part slasher. ![]()
Well the One Night In October/Nameless saga actually has TWO more parts. Both are prequels to One Night In October (but I'd like for them to be published or filmed BEFORE the release of One Night In October). There's Faceless, which focuses on the first group that the 1NIO killer attacked, and then there's Countdown which covers the forty days of thre teens' lives before the events of 1NIO, from around September 20th onward. There's also a 'side novel' I plan on writing which details the lives of all of the patients Roman befriended in the mental rehabilitation facility in Nameless. |

As soon as Faceless is finished. Then after Machines, it'll be time for Times Square. |

1. Which five of your characters would you invite to a dinner party and why? 2. Are there any characters you'd hate to be alone in a room with? If so, who and why? 3. If you could write a script for the next movie in any franchise (horror or not), which would it be? 4. Which of your characters do you relate to the most? 5. Has there ever been a scene that was almost too much for you to write? 6. What are horror tropes and cliches annoy you the most (from the perspective of a writer looking at the works of others)? |

Which part of a story do you find easiest to come up with? The beginning, middle or end? Who are some of your favorite writers, of screenplays or otherwise? What's the funniest thing you've ever written for a character to say or do? Would you ever write for a TV show? If so, what might it be about? |

I just answered ALL ten of those questions in two separate Live Feed videos on Facebook (and I kind of rambled a bit so all of the answers are almost unbearably long). Comes to 1 hour 36 minutes total. They're both on my Facebook page if you want to give them a watch. I'll type up some responses here too (but probably not tonight since I need to finish some school assignments, lol). |
