Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

What is your to-watch list when it comes to standalone, non franchise films of this decade?

Aside from the huge names, I want to knock out the Donna Michele collection off my list. There's nine in the collection and I've only seen Woodchipper Massacre and Attack of the Killer Refrigerator/Hook of Woodland Heights.

What are the others in that list? =U I wanna check em out just because they fall into the 80s Slasher category (lol) I only have 29-34 80s slashers to watch before I can proudly say Ive seen ALL of them, but of course, there may be some I don't know about yet lol.

As listed on IMDB

- Attack of the Killer Refrigerator (1990)
- Hook of Woodland Heights (1990)
- Cannibal Campout (1988)
- Monsters & Maniacs (1988)
- Rock and Roll Mobster Girls (1988)
- Woodchipper Massacre (1988)
- Splatter Farm (1987)
- Cannibal Hookers (1987) --- I question this one since the entry appears to be new and Paul (Slasher Index on Youtube) never mentioned this.
- The Abomination (1986)

Technically, it should be eight (If Cannibal Hookers is part of the collection) since AKR and HWH are a double feature.

I know that most of them have gotten a DVD release, Attack and Hook could probably be on CMP somewhere unless the original site I had bookmarked three or so years ago is back and has copies. M&M and RRMG are probably the hardest in the collection to find, so I doubt we'll get an official release besides bootlegs (it's a damn miracle that I came across that copy of M&M though on youtube). I don't know anything regarding Cannibal Hookers though.

Same here. As far as Woodchipper Massacre goes, I liked it and I'm sure McBride won't fail me for Cannibal Campout. HWH and AKR are on Youtube on one of those rare horror channels. Both combined are probably 65-70 minutes long, which isn't too bad. I'm still mad that the Heartbeats Myspace page is gone since I ALMOST got the intro to HWH before.

No word on Rock and Roll Mobster Girls either. Besides those two, I'm sure all the other ones are up on Youtube (at the very least in parts).

Going to try to watch an 80s slasher in the next 12 hours or so while I deal with my coming hangover, ha. If I cant find one on Youtube, I'll probably just watch another 80s Horror like Spasms or something. I'd love you guys forever if at least 2 or 3 of you would post little 5-film-lists of 80s Horrors for me. Good or bad, I don't care. No matter how terrible they are, Im willing to watch them since well...I have less than 30 80s slashers to go before its official I've seen ALL of them and I wanna finish them off in the next couple months if I can. ;)

Have you checked Youtube lately? Sadly, I think 555 is now long gone unless you can get something through Massacre Video. It's kind of sad since it was up a few months ago and it felt so forgotten.

I almost mixed that up with Dreamaniac or another title similar to that. Is it one of those really rare, sought after titles? I'm sure if you ask Paul (or whoever runs the VHS Collector FB page) could tell you if something comes up.

Yeah its pretty rare. The VHS isn't SUPERANTISPYWARE rare but I don't think there's been a DVD release and I haven't ever seen it on YouTube. Same goes for Nightmare Beach which I also need to see.
