Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

What are some horror sequels that should never happen, and why do you feel that way?

Note: this can apply to standalone films (explain why they should remain standalones) or franchises (explain why you think the sequels shouldn't have happened, or at what point they should have stopped).

Lol I totally agree.
A Sequel to martys would ruin the ending.

EXACTLY!

The Devils Rejects is another film that doesn't need a sequel. HO1C and TDR are two of my alltime favorite films, but a further sequel would damage the story and would be 100% unnecessary. Glad Rob Zombie cut it off after two films, tied things up neatly (and PERFECTLY!) and didn't let anyone else snatch it p for their own wallet.

A PREQUEL to HO1C or maybe even a film that takes place between HO1C and TDr might be nice but a sequel to TDR?! LOLNO!

And ew J, Blood Lake was god-fucking-awful so yeah, no sequel please.

Urgh yes. Great film, doesn't need a sequel though. I wouldn't mind a remake if they tweaked the twists and used some of the characters more though.

We can do without one for Don't Gone in the Woods...Alone, Don't Go Near the Park and no Ax'Em...we should be fine.

The Abandoned 2. Again, really good film but a sequel would probably be 'meh'

A sequel to Orphan would be dreadful. I've read ideas and posts from the actors and producers that if it was ever made Esther would come back somehow. The idea is so forced and it is just stupid!

I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I don't think a sequel to Session 9 would work out.

Same X_X I liked Session 9 a lot but like a lot of other films in this thread, its best as a standalone without some kind of forced 'expansion' or followup

Agreed. We don't need it to get the "Cube" treatment.
