Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A ticking-time-bomb insomniac and a slippery soap salesman channel primal male aggression into a shocking new form of therapy. Their concept catches on, with underground "fight clubs" forming in every town, until an eccentric gets in the way and ignites an out-of-control spiral toward oblivion.

That's crazy talk. It was super good, great performances by Pitt, Norton and Carter.

That sucks. I completely remember the first time I saw it. They did such a good job with camera and audio to supplement it, too.

I like it a lot but its far from a favorite of mine and I...sort of think its been overrated a bit by some of its fans who act like its THE film everyone needs to see (and buy...and watch fifty times...and worship...and if you don't you're a moron with no taste). Sure, it has good performances and its well made on a technical level but its not the best (or even one of the best) imo. (wary)

We all know how overrated things can be, but it was a really good film. Easily one of the best of it's era.

It's super good. You can get a DVD on Amazon for like $3.00 and the Blu-Ray is pretty cheap also.

I saw this in the theater. It was one of the first special edition DVDs I bought for my first DVD player right around the time I actually bought a digital Dolby setup. Maybe I am just old and it was was a big deal at the time which is kind of what I'm trying to convey... it was a big deal at the time. It was cleverly shot, the music and sound effects were great, the special effects overall were great, it was a cool story from a cool book that was supported by everything this film did and it was all topped off by some excellent acting. What can I do though, haters are gonna hate.
