A cosmetics queen develops a youth formula from jelly taken from queen wasps. She fails to anticipate the typical hoary side- effects.

Got this in a DVD box set. Been years since I've seen it. Can't remember much. I think it was basically a werewolf type movie, only a woman becoming a human bee creature. There was a TV remake in 1995.

I was a little disappointed by this but I guess that could be because the poster, DVD covers, description, etc are insanely misleading. The tagline is also misleading. It's more slow moving than those things make it seem. But it's still not terrible (just in that awkward zone between being good and being bad without being either).

The opening credits scene was okay. The opening had a lot of dialogue that failed to really get me interested in this BUT it did manage to make me crave honey. Do wasps even make royal jelly? I'm pretty sure queen bees do but I don't recall ever hearing about a wasp making the same. But I really don't know much about bees OR wasps so I'll just shut up now.

I liked Zinthrop at first but he became a weird mix of unlikeable, weak, and bland throughout the movie. Janice Starlin was great. She was really flawed and I like how adorable she acted when the formula started working.

"I have two words for you: drop dead - TWICE!"

The cat scene had me frowning. It was really slow with very few bad things happening to/around people for the first 50 minutes of its under-80 runtime. The attack a little over two-thirds into it was a great "WTF, ACK! (shock) " moment though since I was NOT expecting

I watched this last weekend on TCM. I thought it was okay considering it was a B-budget movie directed by Roger Corman.

I went into this with a lot of expectations and came out sorely disappointed. I had higher hopes for this movie and it was pretty much a letdown. Lol.
