So if I am correct, the second part of the bill entails whether it is lawful, according to the Constitution, to teach with a religious purpose in public schools? If so, my vote is "Aye".

the second part not only says it's not lawful to do so, but that the gov't can't make any laws benefitng any one religion.

I would like to stress words of my fellow representative:

"With this in mind, schools should be allowed to teach about religion, but with education, not conversion nor favoritism of a religion, in mind. That said, I believe the interworkings of how religion plays into public schools is for another debate. I will be in full support of this clause once the latter portion involving public schools is removed. As it stands? Nay." -The Murloc

perhaps maybe we should change it so that schools may teach us about different religions, as long as they don't try to indoctrinate the kids with any. (like with schools in america that teach about christianity and islam without teaching that either is the one true way)

Yes, but we are past that point. We are currently voting, thus, I vote Nay. I do propose that we all vote nay and have a reform, so it is acceptable.
