People of the Senate I believe it is time we allow this old bill to be amended and allow lobbying. It is as described in Federalist 10 (can't believe I remember that), that Factions are a healthy part of a Republic and Democracy. It allows companies to have a voice and give newer members the ability to join these pacts, as described in the ideal of Pluralism. They are a factor in every government and as long as it does not lead to Crony Capitalism then our country will thrive.

Actually the previous Bribery law (SR15) was superseded by the Allied States Code. The current definition of bribery is:

Title 1 Article 5 Section 1.
Whoever knowingly offers or accepts money, property, or anything of monetary value in exchange for any action taken in the official capacity of a government officer is guilty of Bribery.

which is a Class D Crime punishable by a 48 hour suspension from the forums and/or a fine of 10 Allied Dollars.

I agree with the bill though, I just think it should say

Section 1: Rationale
1. The Allied States recognizes that the new monetary system of the Allied States enables the transfer of wealth and resources
2. The Allied States also realizes that politicians can be bought off with money and other resources.

*Section 2: Prohibition of Bribery and Compensation
Title 1 Article 5 Section 1 is amended as follows: Whoever knowingly offers or accepts money, property, or anything of monetary value in exchange for any action taken in the official capacity of a government officer legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks for Companies is guilty of Bribery.

Ok let me fix that really quick:

Section 1.
Whoever knowingly offers or accepts money, property, or anything of monetary value in exchange for any action taken in the official capacity of a government officer is guilty of Bribery.
It is illegal for anyone to seek, accept, or offer any form of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks for Companies.

which is a Class D Crime punishable by a 48 hour suspension from the forums and/or a fine of 10 Allied Dollars.

Also I think prohibiting "any form of legal permits" from being granted should be changed to "special legal waiver" and "special tax breaks" amended to "special tax breaks or fee waiver". (In other words changing the law to expressly prohibit the unequal application of law)
