Amnesty is hereby defined as the protection of an individual from charges related to illegal immigration
Illegal immigration is defined as illegally entering the Allied States with the intent of staying here

Article 1: Amnesty
Section 1:
Amnesty will be granted to people currently in the Allied States who meet one or more of the current criteria:
Quote:

  • The person is under the age of majority in their state

  • The person is currently in an apprenticeship
  • The person is working to get a high school diploma
  • The person is employed
  • The person is over the age of 65
  • The person is physically disabled or pregnant.

Section 2:
Amnesty will be given for one additional year if the person becomes unemployed, has recently finished his/her education, or has to take care of a newborn

Section 3:
Anyone who commits a felony is automatically stripped of his/her protection, and can be stripped if a court gives an order.

Article 2: Permanent Residence
Section 1:
After one year of amnesty, an illegal immigrant may apply for the Permanent Resident status and enjoy the full benefits of it.

Section 2:
They are given priority on the Permanent Resident program.

Maybe we could extend debate for another 48 hours so we can work out the welfare thing?

Otherwise for now my vote is nay because I'd like to see greater restrictions on welfare collection. As Milton Friedman said, (I'm paraphrasing) you can have open borders or you can have a welfare state. You can't have both.
