IĄŻd love Nike Blazer Haute Femmes to seem them expand on the Wave Universe concept with similar designs, and if they could lower the heel on the Ronin by about half, it would be a solid competitor to shoes like the Saucony Kinvara. As for the Prophecy šC itĄŻs not the shoe for me. ItĄŻll be interesting to see how marketting and shoe design evolve over the next decade. I suspect selling Ą°lessĄ± of a shoe will take a little while to dominate the mainstream. Fingers crossed the viral nature of the internet might well be able to help speed the transition from crazy marketing and shoes like the Prophacy to shoes that are are designed to work positively with how the human body evolved to operate. Really like your Blog! As a 54 year old 30+ year runner, I think it is grea Nike Flyknit Lunar t you are wise in your thinking. Everyone does have different needs. The key, I believe is, people learning what good form is, and working to put this into practice with their body. Good form will put you into proper position, no matter what your foot strike is, and tone down a really bad strike, IMO. I like Peg 30s, and donĄŻt like to go lower than 8mm, as I am not a naturally flexible person. I am a mid-heel striker like you too, will try 31s based on your review! ![]() I follow you for a long time. And this post confirms what I suspect for a few months. ??Your tastes have dramatically changed vs. 2-3 years ago. While you were a big advocate of natural running shoes (light, flexible, low drop, wide toe box), your preference moved gradually to more traditional heavier and cushioned models. IĄŻd also stand by anything I wrote in our debates The science still does not identify a clear winner for injuries (my main interest), and I donĄŻt really think it ever will. Maybe IĄŻm wrong, who knows. For example, RyanĄŻs paper showed no significant differences in injury rates between the Pe Nike Flyknit Max g and Fivefingers, so six in one half dozen the other. Even there the Fivefingers was a bigger change from what they were used to and the non-significant result surprised me.On the other hand when we tested it for a midfoot/forefoot striker the platform was (as you might expect for the plastic waveplate running start to finish) too torsionally rigid to not rapidly force the foot to stance. This delivered an increased load that was distinct from just the sound at contact. Pounding!! The weight of th Nike Free 5.0 Pas Cher e shoe seems hardly economical for any runner- heel/midfoot/forefoot too. |
