A great travel lens that cover from wide to tele (about 13x). Lens is light and small with marco function (min 45mm), easy for traveling and I normally use it for my holiday (as a single lens kit). But AF is slow in low light condition (maybe due to small aperture), and exposure need to adjust +1/3 than normal (maybe I'm using A100).

Sony also have a similar lens but it is a bit more expensive. From review, I think Tamron and Sony is about the same it term of image quality but maybe Sony will perform better in AF and exposure.

Rating as below.

Sharpness -----------4/5
Colour----------------5/5
Build------------------4/5
