I only just got this lens a day ago from Tomato. On first use it was a complete joy! I loved how the hard plastics seemed so retro and how it feels so solidly built. The focusing is pretty darn snappy considering I'm still on an A100. There is quite some serious back focusing going on here, but only for some scenarios, I have yet to find out all of them as I only have had this lens for a day and a bit. Let us see.. image quality.. I think I'd have to say it's just phenomenal, it certainly doesn't carry a G badge but I think it should. The colours are wonderful and warm, and it's just so sharp at f2! It's crazy! It's a real joy to own this lens and I'm sure it'll be even more of a joy as I get used to this new addition to my lens lineup. |
