Since I have this 35mm f1.4 G lens for few days.. I decided to do a simple bokeh test with KM zoom 28-70mm f2.8 G..

So, is Lens 1 - KM 35mm f1.4 G or KM 28-70mm f2.8 G ?

Here are the test shots at f2.8.

Hmm, on the first glance, Lens no 1 does seem to give a “creamier” feel to it’s bokeh. But a closer look reveal lens no 2 to be a bit sharper, have are more details on the shadow area (could be because the exposure from lens 2 are a bit brighter) and seems to have be a bit more out of focus bokeh.

It shows that the bokeh of both lens are pretty good. But the 35mm gets even better after that…

Same here. ;)

same.

but may be should have a strong light source (e.g. glass reflection etc) at background, which can test the bokeh of the lens even better.
