Hi tankm, I was there Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from the same spot as you :) Was sick on Friday or would have met you! Seems that the teams progressing to Finals using the same prop again.

I shot at ISO-400. Ok for most shots but the very fast actions end up with blurry motions.

What a dilemma.. Clean vs Blurry. Hope A700 can do something with the 5fps and high iso.

Great shot!
can share yr setting?
:o

Thanks.

A-100 @ ISO 800. Manual exposure with f2.8 all the way, and shutter speed adjust manually, to avoid wrong metering due to dark background and strong light source.

Was using 70-200 most of the time and the 28-75 for one of the team, probably can guess from the image IQ.

hi tankm , 70-200 is what lens ?

tankm,
I was there one of the night.. sitting down and not walking around to get the best angle.. and with those strong spot lights..
Can't afford to post any of the photos  :(

Thanks.

Were you facing directly to the main stage ? The strong light source is indeed a problem. Was thinking of that location if I go again on Sat which I didn't.

Nice shots, last heard, no flash allow is it? The ISO 800 is a bit noisy on Alpha 100 indeed
