*Flashing News*Email trigger on Alphadslr forum is now working.

To setup the email trigger for your account:
Just go to preference, select "Email & Subscription Settings" and Topic/Forum subscription alert type as "Alerts by email"..

For thread tracking, you need to manually enable it for each thread. Once you're viewing a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Locate the option "Track Topic" which appears to the left of the Board Time.

From the page that loads you can select the notification type you want.

Do we need to calibrate our laptop monitors also?
If so what is the recommended calibrating software/gadget?

I'm using a Vaio.

Yes.. if you use LCD, I think you need to calibrate the color.
Actually right now, there is a good promotion on the spyder color calibrator at amazon.com.. I think it's only US$54.

i find that the colors are warmer after calibration... but photos looks nicer after calibration :lol:

is there a standard for color calibration then ? what if i calibrate my screen to fit what i feel like looking at , can others accept the look of the pics ?

The whole idea of calibration is to have standard. If the monitor is calibrated to the standard basically what you see on your monitor will be the same as other who had calibrated to the same standard.

If you follow you own standard, no one will see exactly what you saw. :lol:
