*Flashing News*Email trigger on Alphadslr forum is now working.

To setup the email trigger for your account:
Just go to preference, select "Email & Subscription Settings" and Topic/Forum subscription alert type as "Alerts by email"..

For thread tracking, you need to manually enable it for each thread. Once you're viewing a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Locate the option "Track Topic" which appears to the left of the Board Time.

From the page that loads you can select the notification type you want.

since in macro shooting , the f always so high above 8 to 22 , why is it those macro lens are f2.8 ? :unsure:

So that its 'brighter & faster'. I may not have used the correct term/words as I am not good in technical aspect. Lets hope some bro here can correct me too.

Why 2.8 for macro ?
1. It helps in focusing for both AF and manual. During focusing, the lens is always at it's widest aperture. The aperture will be close down to the right size just before the shot is taken. Hence, it's brighter and easier to see in the view finder. Similarly the AF sensor got more light as well for better focusing. You can see the effect by pressing the DOF button on the camera, to see how dark the view finder will be at various aperture.

2. Not all macro photo need to be step down to f8 or more, you can play around with DOF to produce interesting photo as well.

For example this shot just to focus on the mantis head.....

yeah , got that sony 100mm f2.8 from ms color . :cheer: , my second f2.8 lens besides the km 28-75mm f2.8 ! :)

sujiko ... :sweat: not yet bro , weekends leh , quite busy . oily hands , don't wanna make my cam & new lens oily ... :P
