imho lenspen good when you're out in the field and don't want to fumble with lens tissue and blower. i carry a small kit with me: blower - small one, remove the brush head and its even more compact lens tissue & cotton buds and a card strip (for cleaning CCD IF necessary)- kept in a medicine plastic ziploc bag (to keep it clean) lens cleaning fluid - since i have it small cloth - for wiping smudges, stains etc all in a little bag that transfers easily between camera bags |

thanks bro trigger for the tips ! you meant to carry it around everytime ? blower with brush head yes , the DIY ccd cleaner (but have to carry this around also ?) lens cleaning fluid (any particular brand for this ? since lens is very important , don't want to just buy any ordinary fluid ...) a cloth (any special cloth ? like cotton ... micro fibre ... ?)

It's not advisable to clean the CCD outside dusty environment. Probably get more dust then you trying to get rid of. Generally if you fussy about sensor dust, either check before going for a shoot or after the end of the shoot. If not then clean when you start spotting them on your photos. |

yup. i carry the kit with me, BUT i never clean the CCD out in the open. either its at home, sweating at my workstation (no fan, minimal air movement remember?) or in aircon comfort at my office desk
the parts are small and light so its worth bringing around, never know when you're going to need it. cloth - any fine cloth that won't leave loose fibers would do. fluid - those that come with lens cleaning kits on sale. |

thanks bro trigger & tankm for advises & tips again . these are what i have got today , packed in a small pouch . 01. lenspen (1 side got brush , the other side is like a hard pad) 02. new lens cleaning fluid 03. a blower with a detachable brush 04. some micro fibre cloth (real tight) , bought from spectacles shop 05. also brought some cotton buds along the sensor cleaning DIY thing , i leave it at home . frankly , though its DIY or even if it is bought from shops ... i don't think i am taking the risk to clean it myself . very scared to do it , very sensitive inside ...
