Anyway - that's why I'm thinking twice after reading all that info - molding and fabricating, plus the electrical components (because we are not doing this in bulk) could be more expensive than buying EP2 - so it kinda defeats the purpose of creating a mod in the first place.

And as you know we are dealing with high voltages here, so yeah. It's hazardous.

before sony took over the ep2 was a rare item, now it shd be available on the market. any idea on the cost? we can then mod a sla to feed it instead of AAs - that would be a much cleaner mod.

bro u wanna make more n mass sell it ??

its not worth the time and effort. if you've actually built one you'll know what i mean. the purchasing through assembly process is quite tedious, and as chaoxangel has rightly said, you cannot provide any warranty to this set up, so its best that we share what we know, and leave it to others to DIY for themselves.

if anyone thinks its a viable way of making some $, you can try, but the question is - how much do you charge? ppl may balk at the cost, if you are going to make a profit, and think: "i can do it myself". on the other hand if you price it so attractively, its back to square one - its not worth your time and effort.

I would instead share the fishing rod, then after he got hooked to fishing, then tell him where/how to find/buy/get/make the fishing rod
