Take a look at the top plate switch that says .... "Live View" and "DVF" .

Is the A300/A350 using Digital View Finder ?

hmm can switch between Live View and View Finder ... but digital View Finder ?..
anyway it is a very  feature.

Whoa,

Talks about A500, A750 n A900/A950? my goodness...

A200, A300, A350, A500, A700, A750, A900, A950

If speculations are true, the full line up might be 8 camera bodies together at a time, this is confusing...

Here's my take after analyzing what's going on:

While not understanding the price differences between A300 and A350, i certainly, hope that the two models would not end up overlapping each other closely in price range and in the target audience group, because this might create potential problems. With overly large inventories resulting from overlapping makes, and if sales figures don't match, this large inventory can be disastrous - think the case for Creative Zen, who has multiple lines of MP3 players, the overlapping makes resulted in large inventories - being tech equipment that are designed with obsolesce in mind - the marketing failed -> the inventories cannot sell out in time -> disaster for the company.

Looking at the apparent jump in MP specs from A300 to A350, I'm getting the feeling that, anything with the AX50 badge might be a camera that is within the class, but with significant step higher in specs.

Anyways, let me place these models in this following trend list based on the observations above, alongside with the direct competition as equivalents:

An Entry level model - A200 (D40x)
An Enthusiast model, probably A300 (D80)
A semi pro ASP-C body - A700 (40D)
A semi pro FF body - A900 (5D)
A Professional level ASP-C / High Speed body - A750? (1DMkIII - D2H)
A Professional level FF / High Resolution body - A950? (1DsMkIII - D2X)

Where does A350 Fit? Is the mainstream market big enough to adopt it?
Where does the rumored A500 fit?

With a350 coming in at 14mp... what would the a700 users think about that...

You set me thinking ... FF A900 or Pro A750 / A950.

hmmm ... think I better hug my KM7D tightly to bed for the next 2 nights.

i absolutely agree bro. i wonder what is sony trying to sell - cz lenses? would current pns or prosumer users switch to the more expensive range of dslrs because this gets into slr territory which is not a one-time investment. offering the a300 and a350 alone will confuse anyone. if i were a non-user, just choosing between these two will have me stumped. then if i realise there's the a200, a700 and the a500/900 rumours then i'll be even more confused.

btw for us who have already gone the a700/ a200/ a100/ km 7d, 5d route, there's always zigview if we want a detached viewfinder.

No idea bro. There is only one LCD. "Live View" is definitely using the LCD. "DVF" ???

opps, now I get what you mean, may be it's a term for consumer who are more familiar with Digital View Finder rather than View finder? Or the D mean something else? From the photo, the flipping mirror still exist, so quite unlikely to be real Digital View Finder like P&S camera.

Are you sure it is DVF? and not OVF (note the curvature of the body might distort the lettering)?

Optical View Finder sounds more appropriate for DSLR than Digital View Finder..

I personally do not like the idea if looking through the viewfinder is Digitally ... Already get so used to looking through the VF to see the real thing ...

I believed once we get adapted to the Live View from the LCD , its will not be easy to go back to looking through the VF ...

What am i saying ? Do you guys understanding what i wanted to tell ... ?
