Could the bros who have the Sony 100mm F2.8 Macro lens tell me if the AF motor noise from this lens is significantly louder that for their other Sony lenses? I was listening to one the other day, and it sounded much louder than my Sony 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 lens... |

From what I know, normally Macro lenses will focus slower than the other lenses and the focusing sound will tend to be louder. But usually for Macro lenses we will use MF, so we are not really bothered with it. Bro Ming, zoom creep refers to something else. It's not the noise of the focusing. |

Zoom creep refers to the tendency of a lens to zoom in/out under gravity when the lens is pointed down/up. |

And it usually happens to lenses of the push-pull type... rotating ones don't suffer as badly... until you shoot straight down or up for long exposure with some loose ones... |

My old Minolta 100mm macro copy is one of the loudest lens among my lenses collection. No sure whether Sony change any design or not. |
