Good read on the LV of A350. There is an explanation for the slow refresh rate of the screen, apparently it's tied to the shutter speed. This is interesting cause now LV is visually indicating the shutter speed effect as well. http://photoclubalpha.com/2008/03/08/sony-...ve-view-tested/ |

hehe ya.. although it is not built for macro.. but it can save you a lot of trouble as compared to A100.. the ISO has great improvement too!! Just that the file size for L i think it's too large (14.2 mp) so you might need to get a faster card..

the LV will turn total BLACK in dark condition.. though nv tried it in real life but just imaging if you are doing macro in a place lack of light.. the LV will not be useful..

It is not an LV built for macro because it does not have function to zoom 10x and refine focus like Canon's implementation The teleconverter button is working just like digital zoom, totally different function. But anyway for most uses A350 LV is much more practical and faster. You can still do macro, but just not be able to zoom in 10 or 15x. And come on bro Ming, you know you want it!!! |

hehe A350 comes with 1.4x and 2.0x Smart TC.. guess it will help a little however the picture size will be automatically be adjusted to Small and Medium respectively.. i feel if the subject is bright enough then LV will still work for you!

the lv brightness depends on your exposure setting. if the exposure is set correctly, the LV will not be dark. the LV refresh rate depends on the shutter speed being set. look at it from a different angle, if you are holding your camera steady enough for a steady picture, the refresh rate doesn't matter. The slow refresh rate will be a problem for panning in dark condition with LV. Have not really tested it, but I do believe LV can and will be useful for macro. For really dark condition, even OVF will be a problem. |
